What is propolis?

Propolis is the sticky substance produced by bees, which results from the collection of resinous secretions from the bark of plants and they enrich it with wax, pollen, enzymes and other substances. Propolis is used by bees to seal and disinfect the interior of the hive where the bee brood was to be housed and honey and pollen to be stored.
The word contains the concept of protection and defense, something that refers to the preservation and protection of the skin.
The potential healing properties of propolis have been known since ancient times. Today, propolis is widely promoted as a medicine, either as a pure preparation or as a component of other preparations, even though any of its therapeutic properties have not been scientifically proven.

7 important properties of propolis for the skin:

  1. Antimicrobial and antioxidant properties: the antibacterial properties of propolis are responsible for the immediate healing of wounds, the treatment of acne scars, the reduction of inflammation and the protection of the skin from external environmental factors.
  2. Effective in reducing visible pores
  3. Treats minor burns and reduces skin redness.
  4. It reduces the appearance of wrinkles and softens the skin.
  5. Removes dead cells from the skin.
  6. Natural soothing: propolis extract keeps the skin hydrated, strengthens the barrier and the composition of the skin.
  7. It helps to recover the elasticity and glow of the face.

Daily use of propolis combined with the use of Vitamin C:
The use of propolis is even recommended on a daily basis. 2 to 3 drops of propolis are enough to see immediate results on your skin. With the daily combined use of these two ingredients in facial care, the action of the skin's immune system is strengthened and their efficiency for skin regeneration and antiaging is maximized.
